Zehnder Takes Top Addy Awards in New Orleans, Baton Rouge Contests

Zehnder Communications, a Louisiana-based, full-service advertising and public relations firm, recently won top honors from both the New Orleans and Baton Rouge chapters of the American Advertising Federation.
   
Of the 31 gold Addy Awards handed out by the New Orleans chapter, Zehnder took home 18, including Best of Show Overall and Best of Show Print for its work with The Drake Hotel in Chicago. In addition, Zehnder took two of the three judges’ awards for the Drake campaign and its “We Live to Eat” brand mark created for the Louisiana Restaurant Association.

Gold and silver Addys recognized Zehnder’s work for a broad array of clients, including insurance claims adjuster CNC ReSource, MECO water purification systems and the Voodoo Experience, for which Zehnder designed a mobile augmented-reality application.

Of the nearly 450 individual entries in the Baton Rouge competition, Zehnder won eight gold Addys, including Best of Show Overall and Best of Show TV for its “We’ll Make You Think!” campaign designed for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. A video produced for “We’ll Make You Think!” features professionals and celebrities who attended Baton Rouge public schools, including Randy Jackson, a judge on the hit TV show American Idol, and Karey Kirkpatrick, an award-winning screenwriter and director with DreamWorks SKG. Zehnder also won the Mosaic Award, which recognizes multicultural and diversity efforts, for its work with law firm Phelps Dunbar.
